I notice every now and then that movies has lost its poster and info (all metadata), and I don’t know why. When I refresh the metadata, it gets back, but I don’t know why it’s gone in the first place? I use a Trakt.tv plugin, but I don’t think it has anything to do with that…
I use the “new” Plex Movie as both Scanner and Agent.

I’m wondering about this to. When I add a film I always look at the poster options to pick the best one that represents the original poster art since as Soder mentioned, the current art based on whatever is newest/popular on TMDB typically is awful. (I’m guess that’s where it’s being pulled.)
If I was to manually add my art by saving it as a .jpg in the movie folder with my movie file and labeling it “Poster”, would this over-ride plex changing it based on metadata refreshes from updates? I’m guess that’s why they change?
