For some reason, new movies do not update posters anymore. Synology box restarted - didn’t help. Alex application restarted - didn’t help.
Then I figured, ok i’ll find the posters myself and upload them.
This worked for a while. Now even this method doesn’t even work.
Please help
Mike,
Please download the PMS logs (settings - server - troubleshooting - download logs)
attach them.
I’ll look at them. Most likely, the cache is dirtied up . (it happens after the the agents get too many faults)
Logs attached
Mike,
Thanks for those. Nothing shows as critical.
Now, lets force it to download (force refresh) posters and metadata. See if we can evoke the failure you’re seeing.
After it completes, please grab the logs again and attach.
I tried a refresh metadata on a movie, then tried to manually put a poster. For some reason the manual poster now worked.
Alright, Big hammer time.
- Stop PMS.
- Open FileStation
- Navigate Plex - Library - Application Support - Plex Media Server - Plug-in Support - Caches
- Delete everything you find there. (you will see all the agents and their directories)
- Restart PMS
- Make certain the Local Media Assets agent is on to pick up your local posters (the trick )
- Force refresh metadata for the entire library section
Please advise upon completion.
I’m not quite sure what this means:
But otherwise it did all steps. Two movies still without posters.
Logs attached.
Plex Media (403.2 KB)
I have renamed movies and even moved them to /Media/Movies (instead of /video/Movies)
But it still doesn’t pick up description or posters
