Movie posters not showing up on Smart tv

TL;DR
How can I get Plex on my TV to show custom movie posters I have already set up on the Plex server when viewing the library of fanedits and NOT the thumbnails?
Plex on my phone and PC does not do this, just the smart tv

PC:
I have two types of libraries set up.

  1. “Movies” library folder with movies named “Movies”
  2. “Other Videos” library named “Fan Edits” which contains Fan Edits and Documentaries.

Phone Plex App (Samsung Phone):
I can see the movie posters for both libraries no issues

On my PC where I have Plex set up:
Same as phone. No issues

Samsung Smart TV:
On the home screen for recently watched and recently added I can see the custom posters for the fan edit movies, as well as the regular movie posters but NOT when I select the Fan Edit library along the left side of the screen. It shows the thumbnail of fan edit video.

I have one work around that should work for the fan edits but not so much for fan created documentaries and that’s to create a new movies library and copy all the fan edits into there. Match them with the original films, but rename them afterwards inside Plex and replace the artwork. I assume that would work. But shouldn’t have to.

One last twist.

I can temporarily see the movie posters in the library if I do the following:

  1. Navigate to Fan Edits on the left side of screen and select

  2. Choose Library at the top of screen

  3. Now in the section below where it reads “All” “Movies” by “Title” select the Movies option and change it to “Folders”.

  4. Finally change it back from “Folders” to “Movies”.

All the movie posters show up.

But if I navigate out of the Fan Edit library and go back the thumbnails are back.
