Movie Posters when Downloaded and Offline

l would like to see that mobile application store the movie poster with the downloaded Movies, TV Shows, and Music. That way when I am offline (without internet), I would still be able to see the associated poster.
In my situation, this usually happens with my kids mobile devices that are not phones. When they are home, we download videos that they would like to watch when away from home. But once we are away from home, it is more difficult for them to tell what video they are going to watch, since they cannot read yet and the movie posters are missing.

Would you mind sharing a screenshot of where you’re experiencing this and with what versions of PMS and the client?
Plex always seems to show the posters of downloaded items for me (in the regular mobile apps as well as the current experience preview app).

Here are the steps to reproduce it.

  1. Download Video
  2. Kill Plex Application on device
  3. Go Offline (Airplane Mode or disabling all internet connection)
  4. Open Plex Application
  5. Go to Downloaded section

Once doing this, you will see that there is no movie poster like I have here in the screenshots

Android - Plex version: 10.24.1.2319
Windows - Plex Server version: 1.41.3.9314

Seems to be working fine for me, following all your steps on iOS.

So, it must be a bug on their Android application.

I’ve since learned this is a known issue, though no immediate priority in Plex‘s backlog.
Edit: therefore moving this to the mobile player category

Even though the missing movie posters on Android is a bug. I still would like this feature and I believe it should be up voted. It is still a missing feature, whether a bug or not. Do I need to resubmit it now that it is no longer in the feature request forum.

Fixing a bug isn’t a feature suggestion.
It’s a known issue, so it’s on their backlog — even if there’s no committed priority/ETA

I see that they are working on a whole new application for mobile

As long as they don’t perpetuate the bug into the new version of the software, I am happy to wait seeing there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
