I’m new to Plex Pass and was pretty excited by this feature, unfortunately it does not work for me. So it looks like this was brought up in a couple of older threads in 2019 and 2020

Android and web are happy just not my media PC.

Does anyone have any ideas how to resolve it?

Try Plex HTPC, the replacement for Plex Media Player.

Plex Media Player is no longer being developed. The last update was May 19, 2020.

my server and player are all on a W7 box., no new fancy version for me.
