I have two libraries for movies, one for 1080p versions and another for 4k versions. I start watching the 4k version of a movie, then stop it mid-stream. The Continue Watching hub on the Home screen of the server and all the clients I’ve looked at (including Nvidia Shield) shows the 1080p version of the movie, not the 4k version that I had been watching. So if I click on that item and resume playing, the 1080p version is the one that resumes. I have to go to the 4k library to see and resume the movie from its Continue Watching hub for the 4k version to play.
Both libraries are pinned to my Home screen on the server and on the clients. I’ve tried setting the 4k library to be excluded from the Home screen, and also included, but the behavior is the same either way. Ditto for enabling some of the Manage Recommendations for the 4k library. The Continue Watching hub on the Home screen only shows the 1080p version of the movie no matter what I do.
I believe the Home screen Continue Watching hub should show the same version of the movie that was previously being watched.
This seems to be very similar to an issue reported earlier ("Continue Watching" goes to wrong version of a movie), but since that was closed over a year ago with no apparent resolution, I’m reporting it again. The only difference I’m experiencing from that earlier report is that I only see the 1080p version on Continue Watching, and original report said both versions appeared. I could live with both versions appearing, though I’d prefer it to show only the version that I had actually been watching.
