Prevent movie from showing in Continue Watching

So this is a little weird and may be a bug. I have a Movies library and a 4K library. Some movies appear in both. I started watching Movie A from the 4K library. The movie showed in Continue Watching but it was the regular 1080P one from the Movies library (different poster and clicking it started the 1080P copy otherwise same title, metadata, etc.}.

Is there a way to not add movies from specific libraries to Continue Watching? Or at least make sure the movie from the correct library is added?

You could use a legacy agent for one of those libraries to prevent Plex from showing both in continue watching when watching one.

It’s not showing both in Continue Watching it only shows one entry there, just the incorrect one.

I’ll try the legacy agent in the 4K library.

It’s kind of a bug (IMO) in Plex. If you have the same movie in multiple libraries, Plex indexes them both and displays one of them for continue watching. I haven’t done any tests, but it might be related to pinned library order. I have a smaller separate library of files, and if I stop them and continue later, it always chooses the regular movies library version instead.

Currently, to choose the correct version, you should go to the library’s own Continue Watched section in its recommended section and resume that-a-way.
