@sander1: There is still a problem with customized poster art. When i got meta data for a movie from Moviepilot, i can’t choose the poster art which i put into the movie folder. If i change the meta data agent to freebase, i can choose my own poster, but the title and the description - of course - change to english. Is there any workaround? Enabling freebase in the moviepilot meta data agent options doesn’t help.
I just found a big issue in moviepilot.de. They have no restriction to genres so there are genres like Klamaukfilm and because of that it is impossible to browse the movies by genre. There are too many subgenres. Just go to your movies and list by genre.
Now my idea is to skip the genres from moviepilot.de and take them from themoviedb.com instead. Maybe Plex or the plugin can translate it to German.
I would also like the PMS to offer an option to chose, which agent to use for what data.
I don’t like the moviepilot genres & rating.
Would love rotten tomatoes ratings somehow:)
Well I think the only important thing from moviepilot.de are the descriptions and the title. So maybe sander1 can modify it so that it takes rating, genres, ... from the standard sites - if available.
Hmm, I would rather like a better combination of different agents.
Maybe a few people do like the ratings, genres, cast info or whatever from moviepilot.
In my opinion it should be a feature of PMS.

To use Moviepilot, select in on the left. Checking Freebase doesn't work (at least not for the moment).
In one of the [first versions](http://github.com/sander1/Moviepilot.bundle/commit/79d64c1c7341f18f6d158f1f0174802942dfe23d) I wrote, Moviepilot was "just" a secondary agent for Freebase (the primary agent).
The problem with this was that[list]
[*]the primary agent didn't always find the correct movie (because of the German titles), which meant that the movie wasn't indexed;
[*]the secondary agent (Moviepilot) didn't always return results when using the IMDB id (because the IMDB id is missing for some movies in the Moviepilot database).[/list]
The only thing I could use from Moviepilot that is A) unique and B) available for each and every movie, is the last part of their clean urls, for example "the-big-lebowski-2" in
http://www.moviepilot.de/movies/the-big-lebowski-2
Since I'm using this to uniquely identify all movies, there can't be any "links" to other agents (because most of them are using the IMDB id to do their own lookups). (This is also the reason why I included some code from themoviedb agent in Moviepilot).
Updating is easy, just execute the new .plexapp file. If you need to (re)scan your library depends on a couple of things. Did the first scan miss a lot of movies? If there's only a couple of movies that are incorrect, just use "Fix incorrect match" on those.
Good point, this has been fixed in 1.2/1.3, the order from the website is maintained.

I didn't see this at first, but after I changed something today I got the same problem. It turned out I didn't add the 'cleanup' code everywhere. Should be fixed in 1.4
Done, genres are now taken from TMDB (if the agent can make the connection between Moviepilot-->TMDB using the IMDB id). Genres are translated using Google Translate.
The titles are now correct. I had to fix incorrect match - refreshing didn't change it. Text splitting works great and the genres are getting better.
I still have some genres that are weird. Pink Panther 2 is filed under "Geheimnis" but in the genre I see only comedy and adventure.
Anyway it probably would help to whitelist genres. For example Geheimnis isn't really helping much. Abenteuer and Abenteuerfilm should merge together. The same goes with action and animation.
And Action should probably stay Action. ;)

A movie can have multiple genres, depending on the skin not all of them are displayed. But when using the Browse by Genre option all the genre information from all movies is used.
TMDB has the following genres listed for Pink Panther 2:

This is almost impossible, especially since the translation is done automatically. I think with the next version the small changes I made will make the translations a little bit better, but there will always be some genres that don't translate 100% correct. Manually editing is the only option in such a case (although the current version of PMS doesn't support this yet).
Yes, I understand how difficult it is. At least I know what Geheimnis used to be: mystery. ;)
If Abenteuer und Abenteuerfilm is merged together that would really help. Maybe there is a possibility to remove the term film from genres? This would eliminate a lot of duplicates (Kriminalfilm, Actionfilm,...) and I don't know any genre that needs the term film.

How can I check, which version of moviepilot I use at this moment?
You can't at the moment :unsure: The version number is only visible in the .plexapp install file, if you saved that file somewhere, you can look it up. But if you're not sure you can just download the latest version and install that.

Hi Sander, when I scan my library with freebase, all movies are found. When I do the same with moviepilot, few films are missing. Not that just information is missing for an individual movie, but the total film does not appear in the list. I have two libraries that scan the same directories, one does it with freebase, the other one with movieplot, and the result is a different number of movies. Any idea?

This is because of the stacking "feature" of Plex. If two movies are recognized as the same one they are stacked and therefore hidden without any possibility to unstack. I already filed a feature request to remove this feature from Plex. ;) You might want to support the request by joining the thread.
But if so, then also in the library which is scanned with freebase, should miss this movie… 
No, because freebase searches for the English title. In that case the movie might be recognized. If a German movie has a similar title to another one it can be stacked together.
