Hi Plex team,
I am experiencing the following issue since a few weeks. Whatever movie or show I watch on Plex, the last 1-2 minutes gets cut down as if the episode ended and I get the countdown to the next episode.
I assumed I had some problematic files, but I can confirm this is not the case.
Tested the files with other players - they are good.
If I manually skip ahead in Plex to the very end of the movies, they play without issues.
I am running my Plex server on Linux (been this way for years now) and using a Roku 3600X stick (OS version 9.2.0 build 4701-24)
Please help me figure this one out.

Had this happen today on ONE episode of a season of a show. I assumed the file was bad, but playing it back on VLC, and Plex web app confirmed that it is a Roku issue. What up Plex?
You might be onto something. I could not reproduce this problem with the web player, only on the Roku Plex app.
This problem has been going on for a while. Before the 1.18 builds I’ve used the 1.15 builds and never encountered the premature movie endings.
I kind of wonder if this has to do with HW transcoding. I’ve been having OTHER issues and turning HW transcoding off seemed to fix them. I am wondering if this particular file was always going to have problems with Roku and HW transcoding. I have HW transcoding turned off but haven’t had a chance to see if the episode still ends early. I will try this tonight and report back.
