[BUG] Video ending prematurely on Roku

I’ve only noticed this issue when streaming on my Rokus (2 different devices). It’s always happened toward the end of an episode with about 5-10 minutes left. Show ends and immediately goes to the next episode countdown screen. If I restart the same episode and ff to the point it cuts off, I can play the remaining part of the show. This started happening about 2-3 weeks ago.

Anyone else have this issue?

In my case, it happens whenever the roku player seeks through a transcoded video to a position not very near the end of the video (e.g. resuming playback from a stored position or skipping opening credits). Playing uninterrupted start to finish and seeking “close enough” to the end of the item show no issue.

Some people say that adjusting transcoder quality and/or the transcoder buffer size improve/fix it; others like me still have the issue. Threads on this start from Nov 2019; no acknowledgement from Plex–

Thanks for the information. Back in the day Plex Pass members had the ability to post their issues into a forum and actually get responses from Plex…guess those days are gone.

Wish Plex support had more interaction on these forums…

I’ve got this exact same problem. Happening now actually, it’s very frustrating. I will try messing with the transcode settings mentioned above.
