I have my server set up to play two movie trailers prior to starting a movie. I have recently noticed that if I have viewed the movie trailer, the actual movie is marked as played. Even if I have not watched the movie.
However, if I go into the movie and manually play the trailer, it has no effect on the played/unplayed status f the movie.
I am getting tired of going back and marking movies as unplayed so that when I have time I can get around to watching them.
Thoughts, ideas or suggestions?

Just so i understand. You actually have Movie A and B in your library but have not watched them. you are about to watch StarWars. two trailers for movie A and Movie B play before Star Wars. Movie A and B are marked as watched?
just trying to reproduce. And please let me know what player you are using.
Using Plex Media player. Just was able to reproduce on Version 1.13.6.5339. Started to play Movie A from my library. 2 Trailers are set to play before the beginning of Movie A. One trailer is for a movie not in my library lets call that movie X. The other trailer is for a movie in my library lets call that movie B. Once the trailers for Movie X and Movie B are played. The watched status for Movie B is updated to watched from unwatched incorrectly.
Also just updated to Version 1.13.7.5369 and confirmed as well.
Any updates on this at all?
Sorry not yet. I have been trying to reproduce this on various machines but have not been able to yet.
