Movies not matching right

Here’s the result

I should mention TV shows and music work perfectly.

Anything else I can try? It didn’t seem to work.

Where is the library root (TLD) ?

It should be the directory containing the directories with Movies and Local extras in them

/mnt/Media(1/2/3)

Is this the location you’re talking about?

Yes. To confirm an example path,

/mnt/Media1/Avatar (2009)/Avatar (2009).mkv

Why your system can’t match Amy, when I can, makes no sense. We’re using the same server endpoints.

Let’s try this one more time.

  1. Move the media away from where it’s watched
  2. Scan files (observe it be removed)
  3. Empty Trash
  4. Clean Bundles
  5. Move the file back in
  6. Let PMS match it
  7. As soon as it fails, Settings - Server - Help - Download Logs
  8. Attach the ZIP

If there is nothing which jumps out, the only possible explanation is which cloud server you’re using and latency inherent to the network. That difference should not matter in the slightest.

Followed directions to a T, Here’s the log.
TV shows and music work fine, idk why it’s only movies.

I did switch back to using IMDB when I noticed using The Movie Database didn’t change anything. Also it’s not just Amy at this point. Latest big movie was the OG Ghostbusters.

So I had a crash and when I went to plug my plex machine back into the network, the router would freeze. I called my ISP and requested for them to send updated, default settings.

Since then I haven’t had any issues. Seems you were right about the connection. Problem solved as far as I can tell.

Neonfire,

I’m having the exact same problem as you are describing. Movies aren’t working, but everything else is fine. Started a couple weeks ago. I’m not near as say looking through logs or any of that. No crashes or anything. Is rebooting my router and NAS enough? Haven’t tried that yet…

If multiple people are having the same issue, seems like a bug or something…?

Appreciate your response.

For as odd as it may feel to reboot Linux, it is sometimes necessary.

Next step is to stop pms, clear caches, and restart it. Then force the media match again. This happens because if the internet gets wonky, PMS sometimes can’t clean up all the mess. It’s getting better but it is a Cache and supposed to endure. Wiping it out each start, while it would prevent match failures, defeats the purpose of a cache

FYI, I shutdown my NAS and restarted… rebooted my router too. Problem solved. Glad it’s not something more involved.

Thanks!

It sure would be nice if someone at Plex fixed this. When I have reported this in the past, people jump all over me about my settings not being right. I have to reboot every time I want to match a movie. After a reboot, I can match a single movie and then I have to reboot again. This is a bug!

Way to necro a thread. Please come join us in the others – and bring logs please.
