My movies only show 20 to 30 minutes. Plex will not show the full movie. Why is this and how do I fix it?
What computer type, OS, and PMS version please.
May we see the full “Logs” directory contents (tar or zip file) attached here with your next post (^^ attach document feature above)
Before doing this, is your computer / NAS set to automatically go to sleep when inactive? I know, silly to ask, but power-saver is often overlooked

I’m running the system on Windows 2012 essential and it stays on 24-7. Computer is a customer build, 4T hard drive holds only a 106 movies as of now. Try to analyze the files a few times.
What version of PMS? Where are your files stored and what file system is used?
Also, if you go to one of those files, right click and view the details, does it show the expected runtime? If you play it in VLC or another media player, do you get the expected runtime?
The version is 2.8.1 and the files are stored on my server in an external 4T drive that stays connected at all times. If I run them on my local machine(s) they play in full with no issues at all. The file system is ReFS.
That’s the version of the web interface - see Settings -> Server General. What if you play them from a file share from the Windows Server?
Along with that, we need the logs ChuckPa referred to.
Remember to never use Plex (metadata etc) on a ReFS filesystem. The media itself can be located on it though.
The Plex is not on the ReFS file system, the movies are. The version is 1.1.3.2700.
