Here is an idea. For movies and TV SHOWS, cant’ PLEX work something out so that we can mute the audio track and replace it with another one ?
It could be similar to some videos editing softwares where you can remove ambiant sound (from the video) and replace it by music.
This option will allow anyone to switch from one language to another or, for partially blinded people to have access to the described video audio track.
The idea is to have something more alike DVDs.
This of course means that, we would need to have the appropriate audio tracks.
That’s Plexweb, but somewhere either on the Pre-Play screen, or the OSD, there is a way to select the audio track/subs (if the audio track is embedded).
Once you get that working, you’ll want to find and vote in that feature request for ‘READING’ the ‘LABELING’ we’ve applied to those tracks ‘SO WE CAN SEE WHAT WE’RE SELECTING’, but the ability to select audio/subs (perhaps in a trial and error fashion) does exist.
