Movies won’t play with pre-rolls

Movies won’t play after a pre-roll on a smart tv using Fire TV. Server is Windows but other players do not have an issue that I know of.

Use the latest update for Firestick. Mine got solved.

This is a smart tv with firetv built in, do I just delete the Plex app and reinstall it or is there something else I have to do? FWIW, this is my in-laws’ tv and I am just trying to help them troubleshoot.

I installed it yesterday. At that moment, the latest version is not available on their AppStore. So, I had to sideload the app. You can try re-installing. If it still shows the older version, then you have to sideload it or wait for the automatic update.
