Preroll Interrupts Film

The problem is simple: Whenever I play a film on a Firestick device (tried 2017 4K, 2018 SD and other modes) the film starts playing… then, maybe 3-4 seconds in, the preroll will interrupt it… and then the film will restart playing.

Bug has been there for over 2 years, just never got around to posting about it.

It happens very occassionally on my Android TV device as well, however nowhere near as often.

There is an existing thread on the subject. Some users reported the problem fixed in version 9.4. However, I do not see it mentioned in the release notes for 9.4 or later.

I can also confirm on a FireTV Stick and FireTV Cube on 9.4, the problem appears to be gone. Previously, it was crashing every time (or nearly every time) and I played 10 prerolls in a row without issues on the new version.
