I bought the plex pass but I still don’t have the option to watch movies? Why?

if you purchased on an iOS or Amazon device as an in app purchase you would need to contact iTunes or Amazon support
My friend has plex and we watch movies all the time…is that a different kind of plex?
The Plex Media Server is free. is organizes media files on your computer so you can stream to them to our various player apps locally or remotely. You can also share your media collection with friends or family who have free plex accounts.
A subscriptions adds extra features like offline syncing for server, DVR capabilities and others. but not access to movies/tv.
Your friend has his own Plex Media Server or someone sharing their Plex Media Server with him.
So all the movies on my friends account they added themselves? Like you said it’s not Netflix…browsing on there tv it looked like Netflix, any movie and new releases and the like…
if they have their own Plex Media Server then yes it is files they added to their server computer Like one might rip a CD and add it to iTunes.

Gotcha…How would I get movies onto my plex account now that I have one?
You need to install the Plex Media Server on your computer and set up media libraries in it. when you create movie library you tell the server application what folder on your computer you have all your movie files.
Where you get your files is up to you. To make a movie file, you can rip a dvd or whatever like you would a music CD to mp3.
