Moving DNS Server to Second Machine?

Hey all,

I just wanted to know if it's possible to configure my DNS server for PlexConnect on a second machine.

I have PlexConnect running on my main Ubuntu server, but I do not wish to always keep my machine running just for PlexConnect.

Instead, I would like to run a DNS Server (Probably with BIND) on my Raspberry Pi. This way if the server is shutdown, other features on the Apple TV will work.

I wanted to know if anyone has experience with this, or could point me to the right information regarding how to configure the forwarding from the DNS server to PlexConnect.

Thanks!

Yep... I have heard, that a couple of people are using either a DNS integrated into their router or NAS. Shouldn't give you any big trouble.

Forwarding examples: look into the Synology thread. Or posts dealing with Apache IIS, though I am not sure if in latter PlexConnect's DNS got replaced.

Thanks Baa! That seems to be the best place to look.
