Moving files to my macbook

Ok. So this will probably be a stupid question. I have been using plex for years on my TV’s at home, and I would always sync a bunch of movies to my ipad before going on vacation so I would have stuff to watch in the plane. I recently got a macbook and will be bringing that with me instead of an ipad now. What is the best way for me to be able to watch my movies OFFLINE on the macbook? All of my movies are on a hard drive connected to my desktop pc which is the main server.

Get “Plex Media Player” for MAC and sync content to your macbook just like you would sync to your ipad.

I take that back apparently you cant sync to the media player client…

Maybe someone else can chime in on if you wanted to stay in the plex ecosystem but if I were you I would copy over the stuff you want on the road to your macbook and get VLC and just watch the content you want in VLC and not bother with plex…
