Moving from macbook to mini mac issue

Hi all,

I set up a test server last week to try plex out…worked great but limited by macbook so I bought a second hand mini mac to use as a dedicated plex server.

Tried to set it up tonight…having a nightmare.

It kept trying to use the macbook server even though i setup a new user account and ended up deleting the macbook user, plex server and full uninstalls…but still the new account wont let me create a new server.

What am i doing wrong?

I just want to set up a new user, new server on a new machine…totally afresh.

Try to be more specific. What do you mean by new account wont let you create server? You just install server and once it’s up and running you sign in with your plex account. Maybe provide some screenshots.

It was being very strange, I ran the server application but it would not let me create a new server.

I tried again this morning with a fresh install & setup a new email account and it seems to work.

I’m having an issue when moving server from old Mac to new. I followed the “Move an install to Another System” steps with still no success. I’ve since been able to get my original server back online and can even access through the Web App on my new machine, but cannot add the new folder directories, everything still lists the old machine. Dying over here, crew. Any help would be great. Thanks!
