Okay guys here it goes:
I recently purchased a brand new Mac mini M2pro to replace my 2014 Mac Mini. All this computer does is run plex. I use it for nothing else. This weekend I followed the “Move Install to another computer” and boy was this not working. Everything was going well, I moved over all the Server Data and Additional settings. Once I fired up the computer and launched plex, my server was “unavailable”. It does find the server but says its offline/unavailable. I dont know how to get it to be online. I wasnt able to change the destination of my server because its offline. I dont want to create an entirely new server cause I have thousands of movies and tv shows that Ive spent countless hours organizing.
When I re fired up my old MAc Mini and launched the server, plex found my server quickly but not on the new computer. Only the old. I shut down the old computer again.
I need to get the server active on the new computer and be able to change the destination of the files. And I cant figure out how to do this. I wish there was a Plex Tech I could hire in Los Angeles.
Can someone provide any help for me? This really sucks.
