Hello
My Plex files first used to be on a NAS…
Then I dediced to move them on an external USB 3 drive to see if performance and access would be better (I had to rebuild libraries for that)…
Now I want to move them back to a NAS (I know, I know…) (NAS are better in case of crash anyway)
So now I have copied all the files on my new NAS and was wondering what is the “correct” (if there is one) process now.
Should I start from scratch and rebuild libraries, or do you suggest anything before I begin ?
Thanks in advance
Cotp
The key is not to really “move” your media… but to “copy” it and then remove the original link so that Plex does not have to rebuild all your metadata. I’ve done this several times with great results. Details here:

Thanks for the link @Plexhilarated I changed some settings about the emptying of the trash, and added the new path in each library and then deleted the old path after a few days… everything seems fine now exepect a few posters that have dissapeared, nothing serious.
