Change path without losing the library

Hi everyone, I would like to understand this.
I have various hard disks in my NAS and I wanted to understand if I could transfer a folder containing various video files already cataloged on plex.

Now I wanted to move the folder located in this path
V:\Hard Disk1\folder1 in a folder on another NAS hard disk i.e. this: U:\Hard Disk6\user\folder\folder08

without losing anything on plex.

I haven’t moved anything yet because I’m afraid that after the plex library everything will get messed up and I’ll have to set everything up again from scratch.

See Move Media Content to a New Location | Plex Support. One thing that’s not explicitly mentioned is to double check that everything is properly merged before removing the old location (i.e. make sure nothing shows up as Recently Added, and if it does, manually merge it into the old entry).

While you won’t lose any custom metadata/posters/playlist data, things like chapter thumbnails will have to be regenerated.
