Moving Plex Library to new Synology Volume

Server Version#: 1.21.0.3616
Player Version#: N/A

I currently have a Synology 1819+ with Volume 1 using the entirety of Storage Pool 1. I have a Media Share (contains media) and Plex Share (from install). I recently bought an expansion bay and filled it with drives, created Volume 2 on new Storage Pool 2. I know moving the Media Share is as simple as changing the location of the Media Share to the new volume. However can I do the same with the Plex Share to Volume 2 (Storage Pool 2) or will I have issues? Just trying to eliminate any issues I may have before I start the process. Thanks!

Ok awesome, that’s what I needed. I didn’t realize I’d need to reinstall Plex onto Volume 2, but I forgot Synology packages are on a volume by volume basis. I’ll go ahead and move the Plex share to Volume 2 and reinstall Plex there. Thanks again!

Gotcha, I just wanted the Plex stuff on the same Volume with the Media, doesn’t matter much, but just for consistency sake. I didn’t want to split Media over two Volumes as each volume is on a different unit DS1819+ and DX517 respectively.

I’m also having the same issue. All the library video/music that were on

/volume2/media →
now → /volume1/media

How can I simply edit the mapping instead of forcing Plex to reanalyze everything and losing all the corrections and edits I made?
