I bought a new NAS (Asustor AS1002T V2) and want to move all of my stuff from my old NAS (Seagate Personal Cloud). I read a couple of articles on how to migrate the media as well as the meta data, but isn’t working for me, because, for some reason, you can’t see the Plex library file system on the Personal Cloud. I can see all of the media, but I can’t get to the Library or Plex Media Server directories.
So, I just figured that I would use the brute force method and just copy all of my media over to the new server and let it compile all of the meta data over time. To do this do I need to create a separate Plex account? If so, how do I do this using the same email address? I’ve installed Plex on the new NAS and when I log in, I see all of the content that is on the old server.
Thanks
David
