Moving Sync lists when changing phone

Hi I’m hoping someone can point me in the right direction as I’ve not seen anything in the FAQ or in a quick search.

I have several tv shows (~40 I think)set up to sync unwatched episodes from my Synology NAS to my iPhone 6 Plus.

My 7plus arrives next week and I’m looking for a quick and painless way to tell Plex to take what I sync now and move the whole shebang to the new device.

IIRC when I do an Itunes restore the sync list isn’t created and i’m really not looking forward to setting the listing up again manually. If there are some files I can edit or a hidden menu it would be great!

Anyone? :frowning:

When I’m re-creating my sync lists (used to be regularly, fortunately not so often these days), I find it’s a lot quicker to do it via the web interface rather than the phone.

Not what your’e after, but it’s the best I can offer!

Thanks Deep. The itunes restore pulled the sync list over but had a cow with what it thought the synced items were (they aren’t synced but it doesn’t know that). clearing the cache didn’t help so I’ve just recreated the few items that happened to be synced at the time… it’s really not very user friendly.

Syncing is device dependent so it’s not possible to just transfer the content to another device.

Can you elaborate? I understand that the resultant output files of what needs to be synced is variable depending on the target device model, but what about the list of movie/tv show/season/episode/artist/album/song names and desired quality value? It would be nice if that high-level data could be transferred between devices, especially since the authoritative list doesn’t appear to be stored on the target device nor the PMS, but on plex.tv
