if i want to create custom parameters for the mpv engine by creating an mpv.conf file, where would i place this conf file? would an mpv conf file even work with plex’s mpv engine?
when i installed the plex media player (windows desktop), i noticed that the mpv.exe program wasn’t installed as part of the package, nor an mpv.conf file, instead mpv dll files were installed in the plex media player folder.
in the past i’ve used the standalone mpv.exe player which installs a conf file, and emby as well which also installs the mpv.exe program and conf file… given that the mpv.exe seems to be updated often, it was easy to keep these two options up to date as well - so how does plex handle mpv updates, through the plex media player updates (mpv dill files)?
You cannot use all directions in your custom mpv.conf file.
Some won’t work due to how mpv is integrated into PMP.
Some will get overridden by PMP’s own preferences.
i;m actually playing around with some hdr tonemapping commands that i’m getting from a fellow user, altho he’s using emby/mpv, do you happen to know if there are any hdr tonemapping commands that will conflict with plex or be overridden by plex? thanks!
