Multi-file movie resumes from wrong point

I’m watching a movie with 5 parts (5 files), each part roughly 14 hours long. As I went to resume the movie from the 18hr mark (part-way through part 2), the player skipped forward to the 27hr mark (very beginning of part 3).
This was also seen yesterday (same player) when attempting to resume for 12hr mark, but instead started at 14hrs (very beginning of part 2).
It does not happen every time, and I have not seen this when using Chromecast (with GoogleTV) as the Player.

This is still an issue. Seen a few more times, usually only at the 1st play of the day.
