Whenever I’m recording a very long show (e.g., Grammys, SuperBowl), I’ve noticed a common issue. ~90 minutes into the live show, which I started a bit late or paused at some point, if I try to fast forward through commercials the FastForward will result in me jumping back an equivalent time period. So, FFWD 10 minutes results in RWND 10 mins. and then it compounds on each try. About 3 tries in you give up and just try to watch the show from there. This is generally on an Apple TV with the latest of everything plus a WD PR4100 server. I’ve never seen this behavior elsewhere. It makes me think there’s a cache or some limit that is reached given the length of the show and the bug causes a time calculation to get screwed up.
