Multi-Version Movies are pretty awesome, you can have different formats for playback on different devices - like 720p vs 1080p, mp4 containers vs wmv. Pretty awesome stuff.
I’d like to have support for Multi-Version Music. I am a huge fan of the direct playback, since it lets me playback lossless media on my devices. However, I have 2 different types of devices - Android and iOS. This means that in order to support lossless playback on both devices, I need to have 2 different music libraries with the same folder structure. One for FLAC audio, the other for ALAC audio. Likewise, for web playback, I would need to have a third library for MP3 audio unless I want to waste some clock cycles on transcoding.
I would prefer to have a single Music library with all 3 formats in it.
