HDHR Quattro. Premium & OTA. I would LOVE to see this feature implemented. My workaround was mapping both to TitanTV account with time zones from HDHR website. Then using cable Plex EPG with closest channels. i’m using my phone to pull up the accurate guide. For example: I want to watch TruTV so i pull it up on PLEX AFTER I check the phone App.
Don’t get me started on DVR functionality. I spent the better part of the weekend messing with xml, different plex guides, standing on one leg with tinfoil on my head…You have my vote.
Yes, I just tried to set up both OTA + HDHR Premium TV, and no easy way to do so. I try to play using multiple Zipcode / providers, but no way to make this duo work perfectly.
Having an 2 way setup, by (1) selecting channels that you need to apply the OTA guide, plus (2) another guide based on other provider name both based on different zipcode would be a good strat for me.
+1, Yes, please. I have a HDHomerun Prime for cable and another HDHR device (dual tuner) for OTA. Would REALLY like this feature to be included in a near-term update.
I had been using Schedules Direct and epg123, but I don’t run Windows and booting into a VM just to update the guide became a chore.
Today I resubscribed to HDHR PTV and had to settle for using my local cable provider for linueup. Meant I had to leave off some OTA subchannels and also disable some PTV channels because of the timezone for some of the channels.
This is at least one thing Emby supports and does well.
+1. I would like Plex to be able to assign different EPGs to different signal sources. I am trying to use Plex to integrate an HDHR Prime (cable) with an HDHR Connect (OTA). SiliconDust’s tuner/DVR software can mix these two EPG streams just fine. Why can’t Plex figure this out?
This seems like a feature that needs to be figured out. Using hdhomerun prime with its channels is a mess of different time zones and missing its channels guide is more or less useless. Even if we don’t get multiple guides can’t the guide data just be sourced from silicon dust. The guide in their app seems to work well.
• With the local over the air guide for our ZIP, I can see and map all of the local OTA channels perfectly.
• With the Charter cable guide option for our region, all of the hdhomerun premium channels match perfectly.
Please add the functionality +1
New Plex user. Using the hdhomerun connect with premium channels I can either view my hdhomerun premium listing or the ota listings but not both at the same time in the Plex program guide. I went with Plex for it’s functionality. Very disappointed. Please fix.
I’d like to point out that this feature request will be two years old in May 2019. I have downloaded Emby and paid for a month of premium service to test their server against Plex. I don’t want to change servers but I won’t wait much longer for this necessary functionality in Plex.
I would like this feature also. but I can see that 1) adding schedules direct doesn’t seem to be a option (even Emby is deprecating it) 2) multiple Gracenote subscriptions per server would cost Plex, 3) Plex appears to need (or at least want - we all want) additional revenue. So, I’m lifetime as are all here or we couldn’t use Live TV/DVR; so how about charging a subscription fee for additional DVRs? I have paid $25 per year in the past for schedules direct back when I used NextPVR, so I would be willing to pay extra for this option also.
Not a true statement. You don’t have to have a lifetime Plex Pass to use live tv/dvr, you just have to have a Plex Pass (I subscribe annually for example; there is a monthly option as well).
Plex will use an xmltv file just fine; is that what you’re referring to?
