Hi,
This is a question for the Plex team. Are there any plans to enable multiple guide sources so we can use Plex provided guide for one DVR device and xmltv for another?
I just wondered if there was a technical limitation blocking this, or if it could be added as a feature request?
Thanks

You can already do this by setting up a second instance of Plex Media Server. If you’re wondering how to run two instances of PMS on one machine then use docker.

Unfortunately I can’t do that as running on Windows Server. It is an avenue I thought about but unable to change internal port of plex. I did try running an instance inside WSL2 but still had port map issues. I also didn’t really want to run 2 instances if there is another way to do it.
I’ve been playing around with Emby and you can use multiple guide sources there

I want this feature as well. Ive been scratching my head all day trying to figure this out. I have one tuner where I can use the Plex EPG fine, and another where I have to use an xTeVe dummy EPG. Not being able to use both without running two Plex servers would be nice

Yeah I’m in the same boat. I was running a second instance on my NAS but it couldn’t handle transcoding

Same, I finally got my channels up using Plex EPG and love how well it integrates with everything. However, I really want to get disqueTV for custom TV channels, but without being able to use XML for those channels, I can’t do it.

Plex, please let us choose per source and not one for all sources.

@sa2000 would this be possible to implement?
