I have separate movies in several parts.
Do you know if it’s possible to rename theses parts like this :
“name of movie”“name x”“scene 1”
“name of movie”“name y”“scene 2”
“name of movie”“name z”“scene 3”
If it’s possible when i will be on plex this movie will be it in several pieces or will it be possible to group it in one piece but to be able to jump from scenes to scenes directly ?
and even more straight forward…
use a tool like MKVToolNix to stitch those files together (appending). this will result in a single MKV file and requires all files to have the exact same streams and stream sequence
ok but that’s not what I want to do. I want to be able to keep my separate file names as in my example above and group them under plex.
I also want to be able to read every party directly by jumping from one party to another without having to read all of them one after the other
You can but Plex won’t be able to find it to load any info. You need the name and (year) - and it has to match what IMDB says, for Plex to find it. After the year you can put whatever you want. If you put pt1, pt2, etc, it will clump all the films together into one long movie. Even then you can select edit and SPLIT to break them into individual films. Then edit each one and rename them to what you have above. After Plex finds them you can rename them, not before. This is how some of us have regular movies and Director Cuts as two films.
