Since I’ve installed PMS on a new computer, I’ve run into a couple of problems mostly related to playback.
The most frequent issue I’ve been having is that often, Plex will seemingly transcode at around 0.1x. This usually happens for about 5 minutes shortly after starting to stream. Afterwards it transcodes quickly, as it should. There is seemly nothing happening when I look at the usage on the server. I haven’t seen anything in the logs that are relevant to this issue.
The second issue I’m having is that Plex is that I cannot watch optimized versions of my media. The optimized version is created just fine and quickly and the version works fine when not being streamed through Plex. However, when I try watching the version, Plex instead loads the original version and the second isn’t found by Plex anymore in my media but still exists.
The last issue I’ve been having since only recently. Often, a couple minutes into streaming, I’m given the error “There was an unexpected error during playback. Please visit our forums if you continue to experience problems.” The error continues immediately after trying to stream again until PMS is restarted.
I believe the issues are related.

I found a couple of similar issues to those I’ve been having. However none of them have solutions.
