just updated to the latest live build 1.41.4.9463
im in the middle of optimizing my media but since updating the server plex will do one transcode then stops and i have to restart the server to get one more file done
and when i go to the optmized versions page and look at the versions it will show some done but it says 0 files at the top
also x264 HW optimizing is still broken and has been for months still creates a file with only audio, no video or subs
and still getting no benefit from using x265 over x264 still getting same bitrate and quality even though we were told it would be same quality lower bitrate
Similar issue, v1.41.4.9463 running on Linux, appears to pause after completing each file. Starts the next file after opening & saving the optimisation settings for the batch
I seem to have the same issue. running docker on linux (Qnap appliance).
for a week or two I could restart the container or rescan my input folder and get at least one more file done but now I cannot get it to optimize anything.
I rolled back to 9057 a couple of days ago and just decided to update to the latest build again 5mins ago and optimized versions are transcoding again but it’s still doing 1 file then stopping
Same issue. I have noticed that if I go to the queue and move an item it will start up again. Most of the time it will just complete one file and then stop until I move items in the queue again. Rarely, it will process more than one file before stopping. This is taking me forever to get files optimized. I optimize all my files before adding them to the server.
Same issue for me. I rolled back from the latest to 9057 per other users recommendations and now after first one finishes goes to the next one. Will be staying on this version for a bit.
I normally don’t use optimized versions, but I have in the past.
I decided to optimize a show and noticed it was only going one episode and then stopping.
Thanks for this thread, I’ve downgraded to the previous Plex Version.
In case any plex staff wanna look into it, Issue occurring on Docker using the latest container. Downgrading one version resolved the issue.
I’m having this issue, mine will allow the next video to optimize is something has been moved in the Que, so I put a couple videos in there to swap at the bottom to get the next Video to optimize.
I have the same issue on Linux. After each file transcoded, the server will drop the conversion queue.
My current workaround is to enter the optimised versions tab and change the order of the entries there. This will cause the conversion queue to be filled again and one more file to be transcoded.
Also, during processing, the transcode frequently shows a progress of -1 %.
