So I’m not sure how this even happened, but at some point I decided to wipe everything off my server and re-install all my movies and tv shows, but it seems like it created another account under my original account. So it’s like I have to share my libraries with myself in order to watch them, or go to my other account that is under the shared libraries to watch anything. I want to get rid of this, but do not know how to. they both seem to use the same email for the account, which is kind of strange to me. Can anyone help me with this? Just don’t know where to turn to.
Hey there, thanks for the advice. I went to do these steps, but it still seems to have the same issue. It looks like i have two accounts. It just seems weird that i have to go to More and then click on me in order to watch anything, other than just have all my stuff on the main front page of plex when i log in.
I removed my other server, just as an experiment, but then lost access to all my data, so i had to go and claim the server again. it just seems weird. and i think it’s caused issues with me sharing my libraries with others. Any other thoughts on what this could be?

It appears that the plex.tv account which you are using now to post in here, has one server attached to it.
It has been seen 18 hours ago.
It is not shared with any other people.
But 3 other people have shared their servers with this account.
Since you also have a Plex Pass on this account, I think you want to settle on this one.
Then you will have to open each of your Plex Client devices and apps and make sure that these are all signed into this plex account as well.
Each Plex client can be signed out of an account and into another one.
After that, you probably want to grant the fine people who have shared their servers with you, access to this server in return. By going to https://app.plex.tv/desktop#!/settings/users-sharing
Click on each user’s name, then ‘Shared Libraries’, ‘Edit’ and tick the libraries on your newly claimed server.
This is where i’m confused. I have one account that is Mexabilly and one that is Josh Fernandez. both me. which server account are you looking under? Under the mexabilly account i have 8 people i’ve shared my libraries with, but they seem to be having issues even seeing it or even getting invites to try to re get them back on.
I’ll try to follow the tips you gave and see if that helps with anything, but something is still weird=) I appreciate your time and i’ll get back on in a little while.
I am looking at the Mexabilly account, since it is the same which your web browser is logged in.
The one server that exists in this account has been created only 28 days ago.
And it has been shared with no one.
I assume that you at some point in the past have deleted the server, which was shared with those ppl. And have created a new one.
A new server is not shared with anyone. You have to grant everyone of your friends access as described above.
I didn’t find the other account. Please send me the email address which is connected to this per PM, so I can look it up.
Warning: when you start to juggle with more than one plex account, always use the web browser’s “incognito” or “privacy” mode to sign into any other plex account which is not your main account.
I did not say that this account was created 28 days ago. I said the server was added to this account 28 days ago.
That’s a difference.
You might have had an older server in this account, which was shared with your friends.
But then this server was removed.
(This is easy to do. You just go to https://app.plex.tv/desktop#!/settings/devices/pms and delete it.)
Then you added a new server, but it is not shared to your friends yet.
Ok, I’m still confused about a new server being added 28 days ago. i’ll probably have to delete it and start over. Not sure if you got my personal PM’s im sure it was a lot and dealing with people with limited understanding can be frustrating. LOL. This would be easier if i could just call a support line and maybe even share a screen so we can be looking at the same thing. lol.
I guess one last question. if i delete the server and it’s associated with my plex pass, is there a way to have that reinstated for my new server?

The Plex pass is tied to the account, not to the server. You can have several servers in your account, if you want. The Plex pass will apply to all of them.

So i’m trying figure out how to get the server tied to my main account so i don’t have to pull up a separate server from my main account to be able to watch anything. if i deleted my server and started a new one, would i run into the same issue? or would i have to create a whole new account and delete this one all together?

I see like you said that there is only one server, and I had to claim it in order to see any of my content, Then it shows up with the other libraries that are shared with me. Like i’m sharing it with myself. How do i get a server set up on my main account or page? (if i’m using the right lingo?)
I don’t know how to get to where i need to to share my server with all my content. I have gone into the users and sharers page and it pulls up all the people that i’ve apparently share with on an older server that doesn’t exist, if I’m understanding you correctly?

or can you tell me what is under the email mexabilly_@msn.com? I’ve logged into this (Account? Server?) Not sure what it is, and there is nothing in it. Have i created two accounts somehow?

No, at least not now. You are currently using a Gmail account in here.
Which is also the one with your Plex Pass, and your friend’s servers are shared with it.
I also see your own server in this account.
So you definitely want to keep this one.
On these client devices, where you are currently cannot see your server, nor your friend’s servers, you need to sign out of the plex account.
Then restart these devices and then sign them into the same plex account (with Gmail address).
Ok, so the Gmail account is the one I’m logged into on every device and this is where I seem to be having my issue. It still seems to have no data in there and i have to click on the JoshFernandez server to view anything. It doesn’t seem i can add libraries in the main Gmail account or have a server under the main page of that account. Maybe i’m just not understanding how to get one there. The Josh Fernandez server seems to be under the more tab under the shared libraries with the others that have shared with me.
And What exactly do you mean by client devices? Are these just any device i have logged into the Gmail account?
Precisely. Any device or app which functions as a “consuming” app, which plays content from your Plex server.
That includes your web browser, which runs the “Plex Web” app.
Ok, so i did a reset of the customization as instructed under the Web portion and when it prompted me to pick my main server, I picked JoshFernandez and now it’s saying the server is unavailable. like it can’t even find it. I’ve tried logging out and back in. I’ve checked authorized devices/servers/ I can still see the JoshFernandez server there. Any thoughts here or my next move? So now i can’t access any of my content since this server is unavailable
