Easy… but got new PC and all hell broke loose. Have 4 tv’s in house. One just started working but nothing else. Same account, was working before, I am acutally logged into other tv’s with same account. I use pc “directly” connected to internet. The tv’s are wifi’d to 2G or 5G. PC sees my libarary. But I am logged in on the tv’s but it doesn’t show my movie tab or any libraries. I’ve tried log out, reset app, etc. Network stuff such a PIA.
I’m not quite sure I understand what you’re trying to say.
Did you move your server to a new PC and now some (not all) clients fail to see the libraries of your server?
As you’ve already confirmed the clients and server are signed in with the same Plex account… are the missing libraries by chance listed in the More section of those app’s sidebar?
Yea built new PC. Same account. Logged in same account in tvs. On PC I see everything but not on tvs, or phone. Even my personal catagory on left side. …movies is not there. Yea I looked at MORE too. The software is a little confusing. I mean the settings are all over the place. I remember the first time I set it up it was so easy. On my PC I had to set up and just logging into the TVs it was mirrored. I don’t remember where in there where I set up a separate movies folder and to make it show up. But yeah nothing is showing on the TVs now.
why are you using 2 accounts here? looking at those accounts one has a server and the other has none
One account. Made acct. on pc… set it up… then logged into tvs with same account.
So basically one TV is showing my folder and movies and logged in with the same account on another TV doesn’t show it.
Oh I see what you mean by two accounts here now? I have no idea. Maybe that’s why I can’t see my library? I’ve only been using Plex for weeks or a couple months I don’t know how I would have two accounts.
But I did notice one odd thing. The app on my phone is doing the same thing. Not showing where I see on my PC and one of these TVs.
I see my movie photo I created and all my files on one TV. But I’m logged in with the same account on another TV and it doesn’t show. What will cause that?
It appears you’ve signed up using two different e-mail accounts, both account names having el jefe in them.
Could be you clicked sign-up in a browser instead of sign-in … getting a separate account and using that when connecting the clients.
Can you double check the exact account names signed into the clients where you cannot see any of your media?
Then go to your PC with the Plex Media Server and look into the web app / browser version under Settings > [Server Name] > General to see the e-mail address / account name that’s signed into the server.
There is 2. But when i tried to just delete one of them and start from scratch all HELL BREAKS loose. I had one account setup right and now neither work. The settings have been destroyed too. If ur not PREMIUM do you not get access to create a library any more on your PC? The settings menu I see now is completely gutted. On both accounts. I restored the other one to just work with that one and delete other one but neither work now. WTH. urg…

If the email matches your username than you may just need to log out of the TV apps and log back in with the email that has claimed the server. If you have a new PC did you migrate to the new computer properly following the plex support article? See link Plex Support Article - Move an Install to a New Computer
Upgrading your computer and moving your server you would need to have copied the server metadata files over. If you didn’t do that then there might be some confusion there also.
