Is it possible to install two WinTV QuadHD cards and be able to record 8 different shows at one time. Will Plex see the two cards and will I be able to setup 4 - 2tuners in the DVR setup?
I don’t see why not? It will show up as four dual tuner devices. Now setting up the channel lists on device 2, 3, and 4 will take you a couple of hours since PMS only automatically matches the guide data to the active channels on the first device.
The answer is YES. I have two quadHD cards now running in Linux Mint using the latest Beta version of Plex Server. Runs perfect and can record more than 8 things at once depending on the channels being used. Just last night I had it recording 7 shows and serving up a live Tv channel all at the same time. Also it in no way took a couple of hours to set up anything! I already had one in there and added the second card and was done in around 30 to 45 minutes including installing the card.
Thank you MUCH. I appropriate your feedback.

Sounds like the Linux build of PMS is working the way it’s supposed to work. In the Windows version of PMS, it didn’t work that way.
Setting up the first device was simple. Click, click, zip code, done!
The second set of two tuners… Not so much. It automatically enabled zero. Even after a channel scan. So I had to go back to the first pair of tuners and write down on paper which channels PMS automatically enabled. Then I had to manually enable those channels. Oh but wait! Then I had to manually match each one of those channels to the appropriate channel in the guide data! So yes, that took the better part of 40 minuets. Throw two more sets of tuners into the mix and it easily would take 90 minuets.
