All the seasons of Murdoch Mysteries are not showing correct metadata… For example: Murdoch Mysteries s01e01 is showing POWER as the episode name and the description , but when you watch it its really episode 3. So all the metadata is messed up. I refreshed the metadata, same results. I removed it…

OK, this would be this one: https://www.thetvdb.com/series/murdoch-mysteries All sources list S01E01 as “Power”. If your file is playing the content of S01E03 instead, then your files are simply named wrong.

correct… however that was how it was downloaded… other tv series that have been named different…i refresh the metadata and the metadata corrects itself… but this is with ALL the episodes of this series

Plex cannot “watch” the content of the files. It has to go by the file names. If those are wrong, Plex will load the wrong metadata. That’s the fault of your source.

agreed… however. If its Murdoch Mysteries s01e01.avi, then shouldnt the metadata read it as POWER, because its season 01 episode 01… doesn’t it see the filename and read it from that??

If you give Plex a file name as this: Murdoch Mysteries s01e01.avi it will download the metadata for Season 1, Episode 1. Which is the episode named “Power”.

UGH…my brain has stopped… the show is named wrong…UGH…facepalm

i am certainly NOT going through 150episodes to rename…
