Edit the library, go to the Advanced tab.
Scroll down.
Set Album Art to “Local Files Only”.
Ensure that the folder which contains the album(s) does NOT contain any graphics files with small sizes/low resolutions.
If this is an old collection which has been “touched” at one point by Windows Media Player and its relatives, verify again after enabling the display of “hidden” and “System” files.
If you value good album art, I recommend you to place a high resolution
cover.jpgin each album folder. This can be larger than what one would reasonably embed into audio files.
The above change might only affect newly added albums.
Or at least it requires you to Refresh Metadata on the existing albums.
It might not show any change in the album art, if you have already selected another cover art manually in Plex.
