Music Album Local Metadata Preference

Where can I log an issue or suggestion for Plex? I want the ability to, on an album level, select an option or something prompting Plex to re-scan said album and use the the local metadata of the audio tracks to populate album info and track list + song info.

What happens every now and then is, Plex matches an album added to my library and thus populates the album and track info according to the match but the match is actually incorrect and there is no correct match available but when I unmatch the album it keeps the matched info it added and doesn’t revert to the correct - local metadata of the album.

I Hope this reaches someone…

Unmatched Music Album Keeps Matched Data!

When I unmatch an album it keeps the matched data pulled in (song artists and titles) rather than reverting to using or pulling in info from the tags on the mp3 tracks. Even when I refresh the metadata of the particular album it doesn’t change…

Is there a solution to this? Is this a bug or what am I missing?

Setting the preference to prefer local metadata can only be set at the Library level, so you can’t do it for a specific album.

In cases like this, if you can find the correct release on the MusicBrainz website, you can use the MBID (MusicBrainz ID) to force Plex to match to it.
