I think I have figured it out now.
I had all of my music in total disarray, once upon a time, and had added it into Plex.
I spent the past 2 weeks properly editing ID3 tags, removing duplicates, and properly organizing my music… and then once that was done, I re-mounted the network share containing all of the music files and then told it to scan.
Looks like what I have are remnants of the old file data mixed in with the new data.
I am going to have to do the “Plex Dance” and just redo my whole music library within Plex.
I have changed the settings as was suggested by beckfield, and will hope for the best once my library rebuilds.
