(Music) Differentiating studio albums, mixtapes, singles, etc

My music is set up with individual tracks in a folder that Plex doesn’t scan, then albums in a different folder that fills my Plex music category. For certain artists, I’ve collected their discography, which includes his “Singles”. Each singles folder has 2-3 tracks (edited version, instrumental, etc.) so I would like to keep them there instead of blending them with my loose tracks.

A suggestion is to somehow differentiate the “Singles” albums from the “Studio Albums” by glance, while still integrated in. I think an optional thin, dim, color border around each album would be very beneficial (i.e. all studio albums have a blue outline, all mixtapes have a purple and every “single” set has a red). That way they’re still organized into the artists folder, there’s no need to do mass renaming or tag editing and you can tell which is which by a simple glance. Thanks!

You can currently treat those singles releases exactly like albums.
i.e. put them into a separate folder underneath the artist name.
Tag the files and put the single title into the ‘AlbumTitle’ field.
All that is missing is the information that this is not an album but a single or EP.

But that is already the topic of the above linked feature request.
