I have spent what feels like a lifetime collecting music from the late 80’s to this day and good portion of time in the last decade or two digitizing my physical copies into MP3’s / AAC. Suffice to say there are many thousands of albums and EP/Singles with their metadata embedded (By Musicbrains Picard).
Plex’s Music library is very nice and runs smoothly, and its wonderful that i can sort both artists and Albums by their Genra types through the use of filters to create adaptive playlists. But while most artists generally follow a their chosen style of music throughout their careers, there is alot of sub groups within the main genra groupings
I was curious when/if the wonderful people @ plex would be adding track specific Genra’s as well to the Metadata fields aswell as the filter
