PMS 1.40.0.7775 has added track genres, and these can be used in smart playlists in the Web UI, but it seems Plexamp cannot add Track Genre as a rule?
Library → Tracks → Filter → Add Rule
You’d expect Genre, Style and Mood as filter criteria, but only Mood is listed.
My understanding is that the plex clients are lagging behind the beta server update which added track genre.
Will be added in the next release.

It’s possible; need a cloud metadata fix.
We’re getting per-track Genres? So all the work I have been doing on tagging tracks individually as needed is gonna pay off?! Awesome. Thanks @elan.
