My iPad recently updated the Plex App. After the update I no longer can see or access my music library using the Plex App on my iPad. I can see and access all my video content (movies, TV Shows, etc.) but no music. I’ve check my music library and all the settings are correct. This is only happening on my iPad. On my Android phone I see all my libraries.
Does anyone know why this is happening and how to solve it?
The new app doesn’t support music playback. You have to use Plexamp for that now.
Plex dropped the ball here and didn’t make it clear to users their vision for 3 different apps. The communication should have been sent to all users that they would split the apps and the reasons for doing this. The amount of posts I’ve seen (here and on reddit) where users are asking where their music has gone makes it clear they haven’t communicated this fundamental change very well at all.
