I’ve got an issue that I can’t seem to resolve.

Whenever I add an album that contains songs from “Various Artists” (which is also the Album Artist value in all song metadata), Plex always wants to recognize it as “Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.”

I’ve double checked all the metadata for all of my “Various Artists” collections, and they’re also set to “Various Artists” in the album artist field. I do have 1 album from “Royal Philharmonic Orchestra” in my library.

When this happens, I have to manually rename the artist to “Various Artists.”

It’s like Plex has some sort of db issue where whenever it sees Various Artists, it replaces it with Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. I’ve emptied trash/cleaned bundles/optimized, and this doesn’t help.

Overall, not a huge issue, but an annoyance for sure.
