Since the last plex update, I’ve finally decided to use Plex for music, since it’s now become much more usable.
However, AC/DC has two entries in my library, about half the albums are listed as AC/DC the other as AC/DC/AC/DC. Same thing with Def Leppard and others. Anyone know what causes this behaviour so I can fix at source?
Cheers!
If you are allowing the metadata to be drawn from last.FM or Gracenote, my guess would be that it’s just due to garbage in their database, which I’ve found to be pretty unreliable.
It may take some work on your part if you haven’t already done so, but I always recommend making sure the metadata embedded in your media files are correct, and configure your Plex library to use embedded metadata.
It is… I’ve been extremely on point about having correct tags and my entire library is ripped to FLAC.
Did a test of adding only my AC DC folder, which then worked without issue.
I’ve now deleted my entire library and re-added it, hoping for better results… so far, so good.
Odd thing is I don’t believe I’ve changed any settings…
