Am running Version 1.26.0.5715 but don’t think this is an issue with the specific version.
For some reason, my Plex music library is separating the same artist into multiple areas… for example… I have 10 “Nick Cave” albums. All of the artists names are identical. All are spelled the exact same way - “Nick Cave” however, when I search for “Nick Cave” it asks me to choose a source.
I can fix this in a very non automated way by going into each album, editing the artist name, then selecting the first “Nick Cave” on the list for every album that’s doing this. It would take me forever to try and fix my entire library like this.
Why is that happening, and is there an easy fix for it?
The only way I can get the “Choose Source” overlay is if I search for an artist or album that I have in different Music Libraries.
Is it possible you have two music Libraries both named “Music” (I don’t know if you can actually have identically named libraries of the same type) and if you do, are the both pointed at the same source files?
Maybe a manual scan and/or refresh metadata for the library would eliminate the multiple sources if you only have one library.
Did you just recently convert your music library to use another metadata agent?
If so, trigger Refresh Metadata of the whole library, then go to bed. (because it can take a long time)
