Over the past week or so, any new music I add to Plex doesn’t match to anything. I have to manually do everything now. After some digging around, I saw a post about Plex switching to a new Agent or something come July 1, but I’m still not matching and the only agents I see are “Personal Media Artists” and “Last.fm”, neither of which ever have any results. I’m using PMS Version 1.16.1.1291 under Windows 10. I have Plex Pass.
When I setup my Music Library, I had a premium option, but that is no longer available. Any suggestions? Or is there a topic already covering this? I can’t find any information on this.
Same here… Since yesterday to be precise. I updated my PMS with the latest update on my QNAP x86 NAS. This THE feature that made me subscribe to Plex Pass.
Plex is getting worse and worse… And of course, you never get any attention from support…
So I discovered if I create a new Music Library, it will start matching again to Last.fm, but my existing library is still no longer matching (kind of strange as when I direct it to Match to Last.fm, it immediately responds “No matches found”; it’s like it’s not connecting to Last.fm or something as there is no indication it actually searches).
I put albums that won’t match from my existing library to the new library and viola, they match!
This means one workaround means I have to completely re-do my Music Library, which is obviously not ideal.
plex (apparently) lost gracenote, and recently became a musicbrainz sponsor.
they haven’t finished the transition, so in the mean time metadata and other features will be spotty or non-existent.
perhaps instead of making more work for yourself by re-doing your library, you should just be patient (along with the rest of us) while they migrate to the new provider(s).
